Ingredients for Pasty

Instructions for Pasty
Now that you have all of your ingredients, it’s time to make your pasty. Here’s what you’ll need to do:- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the potatoes, carrots, and onions to the skillet, and cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry dough and cut into 4-inch circles.
- Place the circles onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
- Divide the beef and vegetable mixture evenly among the circles, and top each with 1 tablespoon of cheese (optional).
- Brush the edges of the circles with the beaten egg.
- Fold the circles in half, and press the edges together to seal.
- Brush the top of the pasty with more beaten egg.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the pasty is golden brown.
