- 1 cup of all-purpose flour

- 1 pound of andouille sausage, sliced

- 1 cup of cooked white rice

Instructions
Step 1: Making the Roux
Begin by making the roux for the gumbo. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the flour and whisk continuously until it is light brown in color, about 10 minutes. Make sure to lower the heat if needed to prevent burning.Step 2: Adding the Vegetables
Once the roux is ready, add the onions, celery, bell peppers, and garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes. Then, add in the paprika, oregano, thyme, and bay leaf. Stir and cook for another minute.Step 3: Adding the Stock and Sausage
