Ingredients

- 1/2 cup of diced onion
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of chicken broth
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
Instructions
To make boudin, begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, in a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the cubed pork shoulder and cook until it is browned, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the onion, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and thyme, and cook until the onions are softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and salt, and stir to combine. Add the cooked pork back to the skillet and stir to combine. Add the uncooked rice, and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.Nutrition
